These drawings feature ancient artefacts, ranging from roman keys, celtic jewellery to pottery fragments from ancient Egypt. I draw each of these objects with one continuous line, slowly overlapping them to create this network of history on the page. When I draw these objects I use museum archives for reference, always starting with the oldest and working towards the newest. As the drawing continues, a timeline forms:the older artefacts sink to the bottom of the page and slowly disappear while new objects become the focus.
